| Since the early eighties Mary has been engaged in the business of art. After spending a few years studying art in college she went on to study under the tutelage of Master Cabinetmakers Jimmy Leach and Neil Schlag. She then went to work for Nelson and Company as well as J. W. She next worked with Sam Robinson
of Valley Craftsman before starting her own business in 1984. At that
time her business was called Mary McHugh and Associates and she was
voted Baltimore's Best Illusionist by Baltimore Magazine.   |  |
| During that time Mary also had the privilege of being involved with the founding of the National Museum of Women in the Arts as well as faux painting the interior of the museum. |
